What is cajeta, anway?

Cajeta is a Mexican caramel made from goat milk. Essentially it is just goat milk and sugar, boiled all day until all that's left is just sugar and fat. So, all the good stuff. Think of it as dulce de leche with depth.

Eat it on ice cream, with fruit, on pancakes, on bread, in your coffee, as a dip for anything that needs dipping. Or just with a spoon. There is nothing in this world that can't be made better with cajeta. That's just science.

What makes our cajeta special?

We make everything in small batches, right here on the farm. We milk our own goats, who just happen to be the cutest goats in the world, and hover over a steaming pot all day, just like your grandma would. If she loved you as much as we do.

And we use just three simple ingredients:

Goat milk, cane sugar and a pinch of baking soda.

That's it. No HFCS, no artificial flavors. And the bourbon version uses real bourbon. Lots of it. In fact, the steam sometimes makes us drunk when it boils off. But it does boil off, so you can feed it to your kids.
